This great era for the arts was followed by the Dark Ages, when creativity was stifled. The renaissance brought a new age of enlightenment in science, music and visual arts. Glass was no exception. The imaginative use of colour and form soon established glass as a popular art form. In the 20th century with works by artists like Galle and Lalique art glass became recognised as a one of the fine arts.

Gibraltar Crystal's blown glass artists master the many glass making techniques required to create truly magnificent works of art. Our artists are given the time and provided with the environment in our art glass works to create their glass blowing art.

The glass art pieces shown in our on line catalogue is a selection of the pieces displayed at our premises on the Rock of Gibraltar and should be viewed for their colour and style. They include quality vases, bowls, decanters, goblets and dishes. Pieces ordered will be made based on the designs shown and will vary from piece to piece making every one of our art pieces absolutely unique and on of a kind. Every art piece is accompanied by a certificate signed by the artist authenticating its uniqueness.
